A thread at Turker Nation was started on September 11 by someone curious about the ShopLocal HITs available. Dan Cummings posted and said he is the product manager at ShopLocal.

There's a Dan Cummings at ShopLocal as well, so it looks like he's legit. (You never know these days!)
